Osun loss: APC in panic, plots reconciliation ahead of 2027
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is reportedly in panic following Ademola Adeleke’s victory over its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in the Osun governorship election.
Party sources said the shock defeat, with Adeleke polling 511,067 votes against Oyebamiji’s 444,815, has triggered moves to reconcile South-west gladiators ahead of 2027. A source blamed the loss on internal acrimony and sidelined stakeholders, warning of similar risks in Ondo and Oyo states.
According to Saturday Telegraph, options being considered include substituting weak candidates and offering federal appointments to placate aggrieved party members.
