Kogi family of four dies after eating amala
The Kogi State Government has ordered an investigation into the deaths of four members of one family in Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area, reportedly after eating amala, according to Tribune Online.
Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo directed the Health Commissioner to probe possible food poisoning or contamination. Fanwo noted that the family’s dog also died after consuming the same food, a detail now part of the investigation.
The government urged the public to remain calm and avoid speculation, promising updates once verified facts emerge from the ongoing inquiry.
