Trump admin to revoke visas of Nigerians, others who sought asylum as visitors
The Trump administration has announced plans to revoke non-immigrant visas of foreigners who entered the US as visitors before applying for asylum.
According to a report by Vanguard, the State Department is coordinating with Homeland Security to identify affected B1/B2 visa holders, with up to 200,000 potentially impacted, according to the Associated Press.
The move, part of a broader immigration crackdown, would not trigger automatic deportation but would strip visitor status from those with pending asylum claims.
