Everton make move for Folarin Balogun as deadline day approaches
Everton have stepped up their pursuit of Monaco striker Folarin Balogun by submitting an offer for the United States international ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The Toffees are seeking attacking reinforcements and have identified the 25-year-old as a priority target, with Monaco understood to value him at around £40 million.
Reports indicate Everton’s opening proposal is significantly lower, leaving negotiations ongoing between the clubs. Balogun is also believed to be open to the move as Everton consider alternatives including Tottenham forward Richarlison. The former Arsenal striker scored three times at the 2026 World Cup and has recently been at the centre of controversy over a suspended FIFA ban. Source: BBC Sport
