PFIPC Scandal: Reps trace 58 bank accounts to Adeyemi
The House of Representatives investigative panel probing the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) has uncovered about 58 bank accounts allegedly linked to its detained Director-General, Adeniyi Adeyemi.
The committee, chaired by Yusuf Gagdi, said preliminary findings also revealed an alleged ₦400 million transaction involving a company that claimed Adeyemi induced it to make payments for renovating a property presented as his official residence, according to PM News.
The panel said PFIPC had no valid legal instrument establishing it, while uncovering alleged fabricated government documents.
However, it cautioned that the accounts did not establish criminality. The committee also exonerated Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.
