Explain your alleged involvement in drug trafficking, money laundering in U.S., Atiku bombs Tinubu
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has challenged President Bola Tinubu to explain his alleged links to a historical United States narcotics and money-laundering investigation.
Atiku, through his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, questioned a US court record involving the forfeiture of $460,000 from an account allegedly held in Tinubu’s name. He dismissed the Presidency’s criticism of his $1.2 million engagement with Washington lobbyist Karl Von Batten, saying the agreement was publicly registered under FARA, according to Peoples Gazette.
Atiku also accused the Tinubu administration of hypocrisy over its own reported $750,000 monthly lobbying arrangement with DCI Group.
