You abandoned PDP over little inconvenience to form dangerous AD camp , Tinubu mocks Atiku
President Bola Tinubu has criticised former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), questioning his leadership qualities ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to Daily Post, Tinubu made the remarks on Friday during a presidential campaign rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The president accused Atiku of abandoning the PDP over minor disagreements after spending years building his political career within the party.
He said: “If a man who, once upon a time, was the baby of PDP, became a father of PDP, and because of a little inconvenience, ran away from that party and formed a dangerous AD camp in another party, is that a leadership trait? Is that a leadership character? And he wants you to vote for him? It’s not for Banana.”
Tinubu urged residents to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of 2027, promising improved education, employment opportunities, skills development and economic growth in the state.
