Memphis Depay threatens strong response after Corinthians exit
Memphis Depay has launched a furious response after Corinthians decided against extending his contract, according to GOAL. The Netherlands international claims the Brazilian club broke an agreement to renew his deal for another two years. Depay said the extension had been agreed with Corinthians’ president and sporting, legal and financial departments.
The forward expressed disappointment over the decision and insisted he had always respected the club throughout negotiations. However, Depay warned that he would take action to protect his interests, saying he would address the situation publicly in the coming days. The dispute follows reports of delayed payments during his Corinthians spell, with the player previously unhappy over financial issues. His current contract is now set to expire.
