From Pulpit to Ifá: Ondo pastor dumps Christianity, converts to Isese (VIDEO)

An Ondo State pastor and founder of Image of God Evangelical and Prophetic Ministries, Olabanjo Felix, has abandoned Christianity and declared himself a Babalawo, adopting the indigenous Yoruba Isese spiritual tradition in a viral video that has ignited widespread debate across Nigerian social media.

As reported by PM News, Felix — based in Ibaka, Oka Akoko — announced his new identity in the video, declaring: “I’m now Ifawamiri Aworanolodumare, Babalawo of Ifá.”

He expressed appreciation to his spiritual guide, the Araba of Isararemo, Olusegun Latunji Aifuwape, and criticised foreign religions while arguing that indigenous Yoruba worship holds greater spiritual value.

Felix did not address the fate of his church congregation following his departure from Christian ministry. His announcement has generated intense reactions across X, Facebook and Instagram.
