Senator Francis Fadahunsi has come under fresh criticism after a video captured him making remarks to voters at his polling unit during Saturday’s Osun governorship election.
According to Vanguard, Fadahunsi was heard telling supporters to “monitor their ballot” before adding, “Whoever does not vote appropriately…” The Imole Campaign Council condemned the remarks as “scandalous, unacceptable and undemocratic,” urging security agencies to intervene.
This follows an earlier controversy where Fadahunsi allegedly told supporters to “kill” opposition members, later clarifying he meant defeating them “with votes.”
Amnesty International had also condemned that comment.
