Gyökeres wants Barcelona switch as Deco weighs Arsenal star
Viktor Gyökeres is reportedly pushing for a move to Barcelona as the Spanish champions continue their search for a new centre-forward before the transfer window closes. According to El Chiringuito TV, journalist José Álvarez claims the Arsenal striker is interested in joining Barcelona, while sporting director Deco is keeping track of his situation. Tribuna reports that the Swedish forward has emerged as a potential alternative to Julián Álvarez, whose proposed move from Atlético Madrid remains difficult to complete.
Barcelona’s preference is reportedly still Lautaro Martínez, but financial and negotiating obstacles have forced the club to consider other options. Gyökeres could become available if Arsenal succeed in signing Álvarez, potentially creating a chain reaction before the deadline. Recent reports have also indicated that Barcelona are examining the possibility of signing the 28-year-old, although Arsenal’s position will ultimately be crucial.
