PDP formally backs G-100 coalition to unseat APC, Tinubu in 2027
The Peoples Democratic Party faction led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki has formally endorsed the G-100 coalition process aimed at uniting opposition parties against the APC in 2027, according to a Politics Nigeria report. PDP’s Ini Ememobong cited hardship, insecurity and poverty under the Tinubu administration as reasons for the decision. Turaki said the party’s participation would be guided by transparency and data-driven decisions. The endorsement follows Monday’s G-100 summit in Abuja involving six opposition parties. Convener Salihu Lukman said the initiative aims to build cooperation mechanisms rather than immediately pick a presidential candidate.
