Security operatives guard Tinubu’s billboards ahead of Kaduna campaign launch
Security personnel have been deployed across Kaduna to protect President Bola Tinubu’s campaign posters and billboards ahead of his expected visit for the launch of his 2027 presidential campaign.
According to Daily Trust, KASTLEA and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel were stationed at strategic locations, particularly along routes leading to Kaduna Township Stadium.
“We were assigned alongside KASTLEA marshals to protect Tinubu’s billboards and posters from being vandalised before the campaign rally. Our duty is mostly at night because that is when the youths can carry out such acts,” a security operative said.
Police officers, plain-clothes operatives and patrol vehicles were also seen around the stadium and major roads.
The stadium has been repainted and decorated with APC flags ahead of the rally.
Kaduna Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe said, “I’m comfortable with what has been done so far; we have the holding area, the conveniences are ready, the pavilions are ready.”
