VIDEO: Don’t buy Christmas clothes without paying tithes, it’s dangerous, Pastor Ibiyeomie warns
The founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has warned Christians against purchasing Christmas clothes before paying their tithes, claiming that neglecting the religious obligation could expose them to misfortunes.
According to The cable, Ibiyeomie gave the warning during a sermon ahead of the festive season, urging believers to prioritise tithing over personal expenses.
“The year is ending, don’t buy a Christmas cloth when you have not paid tithe. It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous,” he said.
The cleric recounted incidents involving vehicles conveying him, claiming that their tyres burst because the drivers had failed to pay tithes.
He alleged that similar incidents occurred on three separate occasions involving Christian drivers.
Ibiyeomie also recalled confronting a pastor’s driver in Ibadan after two tyres reportedly burst.
He warned Christians against neglecting their financial obligations to the church during Christmas celebrations.
The pastor maintained that believers should pay their tithes correctly rather than contribute arbitrary amounts.
His claims about tyre failures remain unverified.
