HALLOWEEN HORROR: One dead, 6 injured in shooting inside costume store…

One person was killed and six others were injured when gunfire broke out inside a Spirit Halloween store at a California shopping mall on Friday night, the New York Post reports.

Fairfield Police Chief Dan Marshall said the shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the Solano Town Center mall in Fairfield. At the time, the seasonal store was packed with last-minute Halloween shoppers.

One victim died at the scene, and three of the six injured are in critical condition in hospital.

The suspect is still at large. Police have not given a description or a motive, or confirmed whether more than one person was involved.

“This is still a very active crime scene. Detectives are speaking with witnesses and diligently working to identify the suspect responsible for this horrific shooting,” police said.

SWAT teams searched the mall, including a cinema. The FBI sent its Evidence Response Team to help local police.
