I did not carry placard in protest against Jonathan — Adeboye
Pastor Enoch Adeboye has denied protesting against former President Goodluck Jonathan, explaining that the viral photograph showing him carrying a placard was taken during a 2020 prayer walk against insecurity under Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has addressed misleading online reports about a photo of him during his church’s November 2026 Thanksgiving service.
Adeboye explained that the photo, dated February 2, 2020, showed him leading RCCG members in a Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) prayer walk in Lagos. The event focused on praying against nationwide killings, with signs such as “All Souls Are Precious to God.” It took place five years after Goodluck Jonathan left office in 2015, during President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term.
He urged people to investigate before sharing unverified stories.
