“I found” – Fountain of Life’s Jimmy Odukoya introduces new wife to congregation

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, has introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to his congregation during Sunday service at the church headquarters in Ilupeju, Punch reports.

The announcement came a day after he posted an image of two hands with wedding rings on Instagram, captioned “To New Beginnings.” The post led to speculation among his followers. Odukoya married his ex-wife, Oluwakemi Banjoko, in London in 2013, and they had two children before their separation.

Speaking at the service on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Odukoya said he had been single for some time after becoming pastor of the church. “So, I was looking and searching, and I found,” he said.

“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you, for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya. And your first lady, and my wife. Let me be a gentleman. Pastor Mo Odukoya. Please bring out my wife, please,” he added.

Mrs Odukoya, daughter of Revd. Titus Daniel and Revd. Mrs Bolaji Daniel, then walked out as the congregation stood to welcome her. She said: “Good morning, family. It’s my pleasure and honour to be here and stand alongside my husband, the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church.”

Odukoya also called on Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church and his late mother’s brother, to bless the couple. Bakare said he was aware of the challenges facing the church but was confident they would be overcome. He added that the couple got married in the United States, though he did not know when.
