Two men charged with murder following fatal assault on Non-League Footballer Ezekiel Williams
Two men have been charged with murder following the death of 26-year-old non-league footballer Ezekiel Williams after an attack in Milton Keynes, according to a report by Milton Keynes Citizen.
The Hendon FC midfielder died in hospital on Monday from injuries sustained during an assault on Midsummer Boulevard in the early hours of Sunday.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that Sameull Hussain, 28, and Arman Uddin, 21, were both charged with murder and remain in police custody ahead of a magistrates court appearance.
A third man, aged 30, was released on conditional court bail on suspicion of assisting an offender. A preliminary post-mortem concluded the cause of death was a head injury.
In a statement, Hendon FC said they were:“stunned and heartbroken” describing Williams as: “a humble, unassuming and generous individual with a razor-sharp wit.”
