Napoli fans turn on Noa Lang with boos and insults following Lazio draw
Napoli forward Noa Lang was subjected to boos and abusive chants from home supporters following a 1-1 draw against Lazio at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, according to Football Italia.
Tensions mounted during the match when the Dutchman gestured toward the crowd by pointing to his ear as fans booed his performance.
Lang initially attempted to walk straight down the tunnel at the final whistle before teammates urged him back onto the pitch, where he was met with hostile chants of “Lang, you son of a b****”.
The incident follows growing frustration over Napoli’s poor form under head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who has won just five of his first 15 games in charge to leave the club 11th in Serie A.
Reports indicate that Lang, along with Lorenzo Lucca and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, could be sold during the January transfer window to fund squad upgrades.
